Only difference is when I'm changing the volume on my headset with the volume wheel I can hear that crackling/static sound again. Now at this point I'm just really confused so I tried my headset that died the other day and. UPDATE: After I wrote this I played some games when it happened again and this time the sound didn't even go back to normal. Also I can't seem to figure out what's causing it, it feels pretty random to me. This does not seem to have a pattern, it randomly starts 2-5-10 minutes into the game and lasts randomly 2-5-10 minutes and sometimes it happens multiple times but sometimes only once. This has been going on ever since but ONLY when I'm playing a game.

Few minutes pass, I hear that pop and my headphone goes quiet. I kept on playing then all of a sudden I hear that pop again and the sound is back to normal, it's loud and clear again.

So of course I check my volume everywhere but they are all bumped up to 100%!!! yet the headphone are very quiet and also the higher pitched sounds made a very loud crackling/static sound. I've been playing games the past days without any issues but on the 3rd day I was playing Rainbow 6 Siege when all of a sudden I heard a low "pop" sound mid-game and my volume just went significantly low.

The same day the front mic jack died as well so now I was only using the ones at the back. So my mic was still plugged into the front jack and the headphones in the back. This was 3 days ago on Thursday when my headset died all of a sudden (sound came from the left side only, also tried it with my phone and had the same issue so I figured it broke) so I tried it with different headphones but like I said the front port was dead so I plugged it into the back. Although my mic wasn't working the way it did with my old computer I didn't think much of it until the next day when I tried the audio jack on the back (both for mic and sound) and when I plugged them back into the front I started hearing this crackling static sound until the sound eventually died completely till the next day.

(At this point I had Win10 installed from my old build because I'm using the same HDD and didn't want to reinstall.) My headset was plugged into the front audio jack at the time and I didn't have any issues. I put my PC together 4 days ago, tested it and everything was working fine, happy days. This was my first time building a PC so I'm basically a noob so bare with me. I got my first gaming build a few days ago. This is gonna be a long text but I will try to explain it with as much detail as possible because I have not found the exact issue anywhere and I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with this.
